ITEM 1: |
USFWS Request for Reallocation of Eagle Lakes Acquisition Funds
|
DISCUSSION |
The USFWS reported that the Eagle Lakes property had sold to a
private developer and requested WC support for transferring $1,645,000
in carry forward funds intended for Eagle Lakes acquisition to the
Rattlesnake Slope Addition. The Rattlesnake Slope Addition was judged
to address the same objectives as the Eagle Lakes property and was
only 21 miles away. |
ACTION: |
The WC approved the USFWS request with the condition that: 1) no
wildlife mitigation credits from this project will be charged against
wildlife construction and inundation losses for Chief Joseph or Grand
Coulee dams and 2) the remaining funds be provided through the Council
Exceptions Process for the Columbia Plateau Province. |
