Project 9207100 represents the initial master project established with Battelle from which the above 4 separate Task Orders were issued. Presently Project 9207100 represents a placeholder for technical assistance in this program area; "Assessment of New and Improved Technologies to Improve Measurement Capabilities and Passage Survival Through the Columbia River System."
Project history
This project was initiated in 1992 to address Salmon Strategy Action Numbers 3.7B.7 (explore promising new approaches to fish bypass technologies, such as the use of sound to guide fish) and 7.2 and to give requested technical support to Projects 8331900, 9008000 and 9102800. Presently this project (Project 9207100) is comprised of four separate task orders issued under 8611800 Master Task Order Agreement: Task Order No. 49432 - Project 9207101 "Perform comprehensive technical review of sound effects on fish behavior and implement a sound effects technology to the extent applicable for desirable fish behavior modification"; Task Order No. 05733 - Project 9207103 "Technical assistance to establish baseline environmental monitoring capability in the Snake River Basin;" Task Order No. 06298 - Project 9207102 "Technical assistance for research, development and implementation of juvenile and adult monitoring facilities within Columbia River Basin;" Task Order 38572 - Project 9207104 "Technical assistance in establishing network based information system to improve exchange of real-time research and monitoring information on fish passage." These Task Orders address improving monitoring and evaluation capabilities by exploring/developing/implementing new technologies and measurement tools for application and evaluations of Fish and Wildlife Program actions with emphasis on improving mainstem fish protection and survival.
